Join us for Theatre on the (virtual) Coast

We’ve been working hard to keep our historic summer season alive.

We can now invite you to join us for an exciting four weekends with six new shows to enjoy!

Streaming directly from Southwold Arts Centre, the 2020 season of Theatre on the Coast begins in August, starting Saturday 22nd.

This season features two new premiers including All 4 One – a new comedy by Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie and Attagirls! by Stewart Ross, a drama celebrating the contribution made by female pilots in World War II.

There will also be new productions of three short plays, first seen at INK, the UK’s leading short new play festival and Astrid King and A Funny Woman will be presenting The Peg Lynch Players; comic genius from Astrid’s mother, Peg Lynch, a pioneer in TV and radio. International star Robert Powell leads his one man show Charles Dickens, a celebration and joins us again for Denis King’s Optimistic People with Sarah Redmond, for an evening of hilarious entertainment featuring songs and stories from a life in music, the theatre and film.

How do I watch?

You will receive an email (if you’ve pre-booked) with information on how to access the season’s shows.

Once there you will be able to see a list of the available shows and pay for your season pass which will allow you access to all shows throughout the season as soon as they are released.

There will also be an explanation about how you can watch on a PC, laptop, tablet or on your TV.

How much does it cost?
The fee to watch all four weekends of live theatre will be £44.00, a one time payment giving you six new shows over the four weekends from 22nd August – 12th September. And all for under £7.50 per show!
How long are the showings?
All the performances will start at 7:30 pm. Saturday shows are expected to run for up to 90 mins, while the two Fridays will be shorter.
